I find the process of making a fine art print immensely satisfying.  To me, this is a critical component of the creative process and equally important to capturing the image in the first place.  Printmaking is the only way I have of translating what I see, and what the camera records, onto paper.  Although digital processing allows for fanciful manipulation, I don’t introduce elements into an image that weren’t there to begin with.

I use my Epson 3800 printer with K-3 archival inks to create archival pigment prints.  Currently I am using a heavy-weight (300 grams-per-square-meter) all cotton watercolor-type paper.  The paper has a semi-smooth matte finish and, when you pick up a print, you’ll notice how nice it feels to the touch.  This paper was designed to render accurate images with the newer professional inkjet printers and is specially treated to receive and hold pigment inks.  Archival prints like the ones I am making have been independently tested for longevity, and should last for several generations without fading or color shift. My images are open-edition, not limited edition prints. All prints are signed.

My preferred size for most prints is approximately 11 by 16.5 inches (printed on 13 by 19 inch paper).  The price for this size print unmatted is $150; shipping will be charged separately.  Prints can also be ordered matted with bright white, 4-ply 20 by 24 inch museum quality 100% rag board.  Matted prints are $195 plus shipping.  Other sizes and paper types may be available; please contact me to discuss options and prices. Prints can usually be shipped within a week or two—longer if I’m traveling.  If time is critical please contact me to be sure that I can meet your deadline.

If I were you I’d feel more comfortable buying a print from a gallery wall where I could see “the real thing” as opposed to judging print quality from a small digital rendition on the computer screen.  In addition to size, images on paper simply do not have the same luminescence as they do on your computer screen.  Different media, different qualities of light.  For these reasons, if you are not satisfied with your print, I will refund the price of the print.  Simply ship it back to me within 10 days for a full refund for the price of the print. I don’t want you to end up with a print that you don’t love!  For your protection please ship any return insured, with a tracking number.
